Leadership

Making room
for young perspectives.

Technology education and youth representation offer two ways to help students take part in their communities.

Youth Tech Academy

Chairman of the Board of Directors & Chief Executive Officer

I lead a nonprofit that offers technical education to students in grades 5–8 through week-long camps.

The camps introduce foundational topics in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, computer hardware, robotics, coding, and leadership. The aim is to help students explore potential college paths and careers in STEM and make informed decisions about their futures.

02 · Civic participation

2024–2026

Mayor’s Youth Commission

City of Chandler

I served on Chandler’s Mayor’s Youth Commission, contributing youth perspectives to local decision-making.

The role included advising the City Council on youth-related issues, collaborating with city officials, and providing input on policies and initiatives. Areas of focus included education, digital literacy, and youth mental health resources.

Participating in city government gave me opportunities to develop leadership, public speaking, and policy analysis skills while contributing to programs for Chandler’s youth.

Teaching in practice

A closer look
inside a computer.

At CactusCon Kids in February 2024, I led the Graveyard Station and taught computer hardware to more than 100 primary and middle school students.

Using a 1U server and desktop computers, the station gave students a hands-on introduction to hardware.
