Making technology education more accessible to the next generation.

Ken Sain profiles Alexander’s decision to start Youth Tech Academy after experiencing the high cost of educational camps. The feature explores how student instructors from Hamilton and Arizona College Prep help middle schoolers learn cybersecurity and AI through hands-on activities.

At the time of reporting, the academy had held two camps, with fees of $25–$50 and free attendance for students facing hardship. The story also highlights Alexander’s 2025 Chandler Innovation Award and service on the Mayor’s Youth Commission.
